Bad Dreams with Good Friends part 24

“What do you mean by that?” Mark asked.

“Everybody else gets…generally bad comments,” Wade shrugged, “The internet is horrible.”

“That’s not true of all people on the internet,” Mark protested.

“We know, Mark. But, there is a lot of junk on the internet,” Wade explained, “Like Markimash.”

“That’s sorta unfair to say,” Bonnie said, hesitantly.

“What do you mean? That thing? That thing was a monster!” Mark protested, loudly, “It deserves to be killed with fire!”

“That’s kinda harsh,” Bonnie said, with a hesitant tone, “You shouldn’t be so quick to judge it, Mark.”

“What do you mean? It tried to eat me!” Mark shouted, with frustration.

“It wouldn’t have…before it got corrupted,” Bonnie tried to shrug off the conversation, “Let’s talk about something else. Maybe we should concentrate on getting back to the Rift of Doors. I surely hope the others are getting more youtubers. We’ll need all the help we can get if we’re to stop this.”

“No, I want to know more about that thing we’re up against,” Mark said, sternly.

“Yea me too!” Wade agreed, “How do we stop it. I mean, Mark and I aren’t that bad. And we still couldn’t get past it.”

“I wasn’t that bad…but Wade you got caught hanging upside down! What were you doing?” Mark laughed.

“I…I got hit on the head!” Wade protested, “You can’t blame me for that!”

“I blame you for everything!” Mark chuckled.

“Anyways, about this monster thing,” Wade deterred the conversation back to Bonnie, “We need to know what we’re up against.”

“What are its weaknesses?” Mark asked.

“We…as far as we know…” Bonnie sighed with hesitation, “It doesn’t have any.”

There was a long silence between the three of them as they continued along the hall made of vandalized brick walls. Bonnie was hesitant to say anything more. They were not sure why, he was just constantly hesitant of speaking about the Markimash. Wade was quiet, absorbing what Bonnie had said. Mark could see the cogs turning in his friend’s mind.

“How are we expected to stop it?” Mark asked, calmly, “If nobody knows how to stop it?”

Bonnie was quiet. Still nobody would answer his question. It was growing frustrated that Bonnie was not handing over more information. He felt like he was being kept out of the loop of very important information.

“I guess we’re just going to go in with guns blazing!” Mark yelled, with frustration.

Silence responded to him. Bonnie flinched though, hunching his shoulders. He looked a big ashamed, as if he wished he could have answered.

“FINE!” Mark spat.
